My logs look identical to the one posted-is this some kind of weird driver issue with this engine version? I can zip up the build if anyone at Unity wants to check it out. I have to reboot the machine using the power button to cause a restart. No other keyboard combos seem to work-even CTRL+ALT+DEL. I CAN alt-tab out, and even swap desktops with the windows key and L/R arrows. I can move the mouse around-but I can't click on anything or use the keyboard. I get the spinning wheel busy icon next to the mouse pointer. The game hangs immediately on startup-black screen. The weird thing is-it's not quite a hang. I even tried updating the firmware on the controller (which was quite old) and it still happens. Just having it plugged in at all will curse the machine until a reboot. In fact, if I plug in the Xbox One controller, disconnect it, and run the game it still hangs my entire machine. If I have no controller, a PS4 controller, or my aftermarket wired Xbox branded (but not made by Microsoft) controller plugged in it runs fine. This ONLY HAPPENS when the Xbox One official controller is plugged in. Here's the log-I've had a few people send me logs for this crash and the all look like this: What happens after the message " Initialized touch support." is posted? It crashes before the crash reporter can do anything because I see no crashes or exceptions in the cloud diagnostics panel either.Ĭan anyone at Unity perhaps provide some insight into this? I can't reproduce this crash at all, and it seems to only affect a few people. I'll attach the logs here, but they all have the same messages.the game just hangs after a few internal Unity messages seem to fire off. I've put a bunch of debug messages in our game code but I don't see any in the logs people have sent me-it seems to be hanging before any of our game code executes. But then randomly we saw reports from others that the same crash is happening. Which is weird since Full Screen Exclusive causes no problems in our other game (using Unity 2019). So we made the full screen mode default to full screen windowed instead of full screen exclusive and that seemed to fix it for people. Originally one of our users who had this issue found out that if they blew away the full screen setting in the prefs via the registry, the game would run windowed without a crash. They have to power cycle the computer to get out of it. For a few users, upon launch the game crashes and hangs people's entire Windows machine. Our new game, XENOTILT, ( ) on Steam has a severe crash we see occasionally reported. I'm totally stumped and need some help-maybe from Unity themselves.
